5/8/2019 0 Comments Final exam sculpture 2Required questions: 1. A tool I really liked to use this semester is the needle tool, because you can add so many details with such a small and third tool, which is really nice, especially for me, since I did a lot of sgraffito this semester. Another tool I liked to work with is the spinning wheel, it makes it easier to add details or paint all the way around, so you don't have to touch your peace, where you just painted or added something, you just spin the wheel. 2. My knowledge has changed a lot in sculpture 2, I learned that there's so much more to sculpture, than just clay. That you can make sculpture out of basically everything, as long as you just have a tiny bit of creativity. And with help from others then you can make something great. What I really liked about sculpture 2 was that you were more independent, so you really learned how to do stuff yourself. Pick 3 questions: 1 question: Which project do you feel was the least important in learning the concepts taught in the course? Please explain. - The least important one would be the paper rolls abstract, it was a pretty easy project since all we had to do was to roll magazine papers and glue them together, I don't feel like I learned from that project. 2 question: What is your least favorite material to work with and why? How did you deal with it, what didn’t you like about it. Please explain. - I really hated working with paper mache, ven though you can do so much with it, it's still very gross to touch and it can be hard because the inside can mold etc. But I still made a cute piece this semester out of paper mache. A way to deal with it if you think it's gross is that you can wear gloves. 3 question: Choose a place or artwork where the subject matter reflects you as an artist. One that you have a personal connection too. Please explain. - The shoe I made of aluminum foil has a personal connection to me, because I absolutely love shoes. I have more than 25 pairs of shoes at home, I love love love shoes!!! And then I actually really like working with aluminum foil. I like clay as well, but the thing about aluminum foil is that you don't get dirty hands, so that's nice.
